SHINee’s Jonghyun for Lee Hi

Lee Hi discussed in 2016 the first time she knew who wrote and composed her title track “Breathe,” which received widespread attention for being written and composed by SHINee‘s Jonghyun. “At first, I didn’t even know it was Jonghyun’s, and only found out about it while working with Tablo,” Lee Hi explained. Tablo said he had the perfect track for me after I told him I wanted a comforting song on my album. I told him right away that I wanted it after hearing it. “Until we started recording, I had no idea it was made by Jonghyun.” “Later on, Tablo asked me, ‘Do you know who made this song?’ It’s by Jonghyun.’ She was taken aback and was very thankful for him.

B.I and Bobby for WINNER

B.I and Bobby known as the rivals of WINNER from the survival show, WIN: Who Is Next, is surprisingly the writers of WINNER’s debut song “Empty.”

PENTAGON Hui for Wanna One

Hui appeared on MBC FM’s ‘Idol Radio’ in 2018 and revealed that Wanna One’s debut song, “Energetic,” took him the shortest time to compose, and “Never” was the song on which he worked the most.

During the group’s 2017 debut, a PENTAGON member expressed gratitude, saying, “I’m very awed and surprised that ‘Energetic’ was chosen, after ‘Never.’ I’m so happy, feeling that the time I spent working hard toward music was not wasted. I would like to sincerely thank the Wanna One members for working hard on the song.”

IU for Jung Seung Hwan

In 2019, Jung Seung Hwan released “My Christmas Wish,” a Christmas song composed by Kim Jae Hwi with lyrics written by IU. Days after its release, the song topped Korean realtime charts such as Melon, Genie, Bugs, Vibe (Naver Music), Olleh Music, and Soribada.

SEVENTEEN Woozi for I.O.I.

I.O.I’s final single “Downpour” was specifically chosen by all 11 members and chosen as their farewell track. The song’s lyrics were written by SEVENTEEN‘s Woozi, who also contributed to the song’s composition alongside other songwriters. The SEVENTEEN member wrote the song in the intention of creating a positive memory for the fans that supported I.O.I.

ZICO for Kim Sejong

The debut song, “Flower Road” of Sejong is produced and written by ZICO. The song sat in in first place on all the major real-time music charts, including Melon, Mnet, Bugs, olleh, Soribada, Genie, Naver, and Monkey3 after its release.
