EXO’s D.O. Will Reportedly Leave SM Entertainment

UPDATE:

In an official statement released on October 18, SM Entertainment announced that D.O.‘s exclusive contract with the company will end in early November. SM and D.O. have both decided that his activities with EXO will still be under SM Entertainment, while his acting and personal activities will be managed by Company SooSoo, an independent company established by a management director, Nam Kyungsoo, who has been with him since his debut days.

According to the exclusive report of media outlet JTBC Entertainment news on October 18, EXO’s D.O. is leaving SM Entertainment.

Reports stated that D.O. (Do Kyungsoo) will not renew his contract with SM Entertainment. D.O.’s contract with SM Entertainment will expire in early November of 2023 and the EXO member has decided to not renew.

Instead, D.O. will be moving to a new home that will be established by a former SM Entertainment manager. According to reports, D.O. will join hands in a new agency with the management director who has been with him since his debut.

Although D.O. will no longer be part of SM Entertainment, reports stated that he will not leave EXO and will continue with all the activities of the group.

D.O. will continue his career as an actor, a solo singer, and an EXO member.

SM Entertainment hasn’t responded to the circulating reports.
