Actor Yoo Jae Myung found himself caught up in quite a challenging situation as a series of issues involving his fellow actors led to the postponement of several of his upcoming projects.
To begin with, on October 20, actor Lee Sun Kyun was revealed to be involved in a drug-related investigation, leading to the postponement of the drama ‘No Way Out,’ in which both Yoo Jae Myung and Lee Sun Kyun were set to team up. The production company, STUDIO X+U, revealed that Lee Sun Kyun decided to leave the show but will continue to film and will not be postponed.”
Furthermore, the movie ‘Land of Happiness,’ initially slated for release in the second half of 2023 or the first half of 2024, also featured Lee Sun Kyun, Jo Jung Suk, and Yoo Jae Myung. Unlike ‘No Way Out,’ filming for this movie had already concluded. Its premiere date remains uncertain.
Yoo Jae Myeong’s upcoming film ‘Firefighter’ faced delays due to the lead actor, Kwak Do Won, being embroiled in controversy related to drunk driving in Jeju Island in September of 2023. As a result, it won’t be hitting the big screens this year,
The release of Yoo Jae Myung’s other film, ‘The Season of You and Me,’ is also uncertain. Actor Kim Dong Hee, who’s also part of the project, is facing allegations of school bullying, which has caused a delay in the movie’s release schedule.
Yoo Jae Myeong has suffered the setback of having the release of at least three to four projects postponed due to a series of issues with his fellow actors, leaving him with a sense of disappointment.
